Subvention Funding at Nyaal Banyul
Opening this July, Nyaal Banyul will be a hub for economic and cultural growth in Geelong. As part of Victoria’s landmark investment, subvention funding is available to attract world-class events. The funding supports organisers to deliver memorable, high-impact experiences that showcase Geelong’s culture, community and connection to Country, while strengthening the city’s reputation as a leading destination for international events.

From FY27, subvention funding will be available to support event organisers planning conferences, conventions, and corporate events at Nyaal Banyul.
This funding is delivered as discounted services, making it easier to host events that leave a lasting impact.
Eligible association and corporate events can receive:
$100 per delegate for single-year conferences
$120 per delegate for multi-year partnerships
Capped at $60,000 per event
Funding is applied as a discount to your final pre-event invoice. Final amounts are assessed on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability.
Eligibility at a Glance
To be considered, your event must:
Be a corporate or association meeting, conference, convention, or trade exhibition
Run for at least 2 days (including daily delegate catering)
Have a minimum of 250 in-person delegates (virtual attendance not included)
Have at least 30% of delegates attending from outside Victoria
Be held between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2030
Be considering destinations outside Victoria
